Ongoing Outreach Recipient NEED North East Emergency Distribution

NEED is a community supported non-profit agency whose mission is to provide emergency assistance of food, clothing and financial support to families who are in transition to Food Stamps or other governmental support. Pathways sends volunteers there once a month on the fourth Friday.  We use a shopping list to pick grocery items from shelves, then bag them and put them in a shopping cart to give to a needy client.  It’s also a good way to socialize and get to know other Pathways people.  Our help will be so important to folks who are likely already living on the edge and who may now be in even deeper need.
