Newcomers
Welcome!
We are so glad you have found us online!
Whatever path you are on, you are welcome here. We side with the values of Justice, Pluralism, Generosity, Transformation, Interdependence, and Equity, all centered around the greatest value of Love. Come explore Pathways Church to find out more about our liberal religious community here in Hurst.
Here’s a great way to get started:
1. Sign up to Get Updates on Pathways Happenings (our newsletter) below. The newsletter comes out every Friday morning at 6:00am! There, you can find out about our next speaker, the upcoming Religious Education classes for Children and Youth, and so much more. Our Facebook page is another place where you can find out about next Sunday’s speaker.
2. Make your plans to visit our Common Ground worship service on Sunday from 10:30-11:30am! Attend in-person or via Zoom! (Find the Zoom link in the Newsletter.) We have greeters who will be excited to meet you, give you a tour, introduce you to our Religious Education leaders for Children and Youth and more! Children and youth are invited to Common Ground worship from 10:30 through the Story for All Ages, and then R.E. Classes for Children and Youth (teens) begin at 10:45.
3. If you visit us in-person, plan to stay for coffee and conversation after Common Ground and attend the upcoming Inquirers Series session, which happens on 1st and 3rd Sundays from 11:45-12:45 in the Pathways Library (after you’ve grabbed your coffee and snacks!) Children and youth enjoy games hour from 11:45-1:00pm while adult classes and discussion groups meet. You’re invited to any you’d like to try!
The Inquirers Series sessions rotate on these topics (check the newsletter for the next one):
· Unitarian Universalist History & Values
· Small Group Connections at Pathways
· Social Justice and Community Service
· Religious Education for Children and Youth
· Congregational Care at Pathways
· Worship and our Liturgical Year
· Membership 101 – What it means to become a member at Pathways Church.
We’ll save a spot for you! See you Sunday!
