care team

The Mission of the Care Team: “Caring for each other in the Pathways community.”
The Care Team’s goal is to offer support in times of difficulty, illness, isolation, grief, or crisis so that no one in our Pathways family need feel alone.

There comes a time in everyone’s life when they face a personal crisis, family emergency, or any number of stressful situations. We all experience loss, grief, and even fear during our lives. This is when a little help from the Pathway community provides a sense of caring and reduces our feelings of being alone. The Care Team is a small group of volunteers who attempt to connect with our friends and members and provide support. This may consist of a friendly phone call, a get well or sympathy card, an e-card, or a “Nook in a Basket.”

The Care Team has set up the “Reflection Nook” located at the end of the hall outside the library, to provide a private spot for quiet reflection, a candle to light, or a journal for your thoughts. A drapery assures a semblance of privacy. The Care Team also creates a “Nook in a Basket” when a specific need is identified. Each basket is personalized with a person and situation in mind.

A box has been placed in the Reflection Nook. You may fill out a card identifying yourself or someone you feel may benefit from contact with the Care Team. Your privacy is important and will be respected by all the members of the Care Team. Our knowledge of a need will not be shared without permission. If you know someone who may need temporary help such as a ride, a meal, a phone call, or a visit, please contact the church office at office@pathwaysuu.org.
